Bobji took us all by surprise and keeled over Wednesday January 20th 2016 and died. This simple WordPress site has been set up for his friends to share their words, (thanks Bill – your idea). It’s particularly for Bob’s brothers, Frank and John and for those of you in other parts of the world, who may not be able to come to his final send off in a Suffolk field.
Wednesday 10th February 2016 12 noon
Bob was buried in a natural woodland belonging to his friend Mr Peter Hoffmann. His friends collected. A Humanist led the service. Some daffodils were left near by for his friends to add to the open grave. We all repaired to the Fox and Goose, Bob’s favourite restaurant, in Fressingfield, where we talked of Bob’s days, drank champagne, and ate delicious food. In the evening, in PH’s barn, Stewart Orr showed 4 of Bob’s films, from the 1970’s (Appleby Fair, Ronald Searle, Snape Maltings), to the 2000’s (Langer Hall).
