As coordinator of film programing at The Cut I will sorely miss Bob’s presence at our selection meetings.  Although he joined us fairly recently it soon became obvious that his knowledge of film and his enthusiasm for classic cinema was going to be a great asset.  His sudden death came as a real shock to us all, but it was a comfort to recall that our last conversation had been such a positive one.  We were both delighted at the great audience who turned up to view his choice of The Music Room, directed by Satyajit Ray, and felt it was a real encouragement to screen more such films.  Another of Bob’s choices, Bertolucci’s The Sheltering Sky, will be screened on the 20 April, at The Cut.
